8808 94U with new HD, can't boot from disc to install OS as USB keyboard no recognized.

I've got an issue in that I just picked up an 8808 that had no HD. I installed a brand new HD, put my XP install disc in and can't get to the BIOS to get it to boot from the disc as it doesn't know that there is a keyboard connected. It only has plugs for USB, no PS/2 keyboard connections.

 

Has anyone come across this type of thing before?
