I have been able to install XP onto an M90 as long as I set the SATA option to IDE. If I don't, then the setup bluescreens right after it goes through trying to load all the drivers.
I also wasn't able to install the latest Intel chipset software. The instructions indicate that it can be installed after OS Install but those instructions to match up with what I see in the device mgr for replacing these drivers.
What isn't included with this driver download is the ability to create a diskette for use in inserting the drive during the actual XP install (by pressing F6, I think). This would simplify things greatly.
Can anyone help?

Confirming a previous post, I downloaded the Intel 5/2400 Series SATA ACHI Controller drivers, which included the files that can be put on a floppy so that you can hit F6 during the XP install.
That way you don't have to change any SATA settings in the BIOS.
