I have a large number of 8189- F5U PCs that I support. We have been pushing to upgrade these systems to 2GB of RAM, but I have been noticing an issue when I try to put in two 1GB chips. The chips in question are KTM-M50s from Kingston which are supposed to be compatible with this type of system. The problem I am having is that the system bluescreens randomly but regularly whenever both chips are in. If I have only one chip in there is no problem or if I load up all four banks with 512MB chips that also works. I can't get it to run with just the two chips in though (in dual channel mode). Any idea what is wrong or any ideas as far as a solution?
