Re: M57 and ATI HD6570 Sapphire

ATI 5xxx and 6xxx Graphics card are not supported in the M57. The fastest i tried was an ATI 4670 and Nvidia 9800GT .

Betreff: M57 and ATI HD6570 Sapphire

I have bought two ASUS HD6570 (low profile) cards for a 8810-C35 and a 9181-A1G. And i have bought an HD5450 for a 9088-ARG. Inside the 8810-C35 the new card is working from the beginning (i don't know which BIOS version). Then I have had the first problem with 9088-ARG. But after BIOS update the HD5450 is working, too. But now my problem: I have updated the 9181-A1G (which is in my eyes newer than the 8810-C35) with latest BIOS (2011-dec) and tried to install the second HD6570. Result: Dark Screen. There is a signal at onboard, also with the pci-e card - because the screen is "only" dark and don't prompt a "no signal"-message. but it's dark. if it wouldn't work inside the 8810-C35, then i could say: "**bleep** happens". but now i think: that's really cruel - because in the newer machine it doesn't work... Hopefully there will be soon a new BIOS version - because preparing the card for the low profile plus after 14 days i am not able to send the graphics adapter back! But maybe there is another hint from someone here? Or does someone know something about, when such BIOS updates will be released?
