Hello:
Can anyone explain the differences between the M82 tower and M92 tower. I don't see any differences in the specs and after 30 minutes with chat, I was told "good question, call tech support"
The only thing I noticed is that that are differences in some options like:
M82 offers a wireless card, M92 does not
M92 base has a higher level CPU.
The user manual for both is the same.
If priced out with the same options, the prices are almost the same.
Seems to me that there would be one model with all the options listed
I noticed the same thing with the SFF versions.
e,g, the M82 has the option of a DVD or 2nd HDD; M92 doesn;t offer DVD. just 2 HDDs.
Thanks

Thanks
I did miss the chipset and power supply differences.
And I had wrong info about the i5-3570. I thought it was HD4000, not HD2500.
I still don't understand why 2 SKUs are offered that are so close in specs and why the same options are not offered for both, like the Intel wireless combo card N2230--offered on the M82, not on the M92. I guess these are marketing decisions.
I wish there was an option to include mSATA in place of the card reader. I could save money by installing it myself, but I would gladly pay Lenovo a premium so it is included in warranty coverage and the OS is installed on the mSATA from the factory.
I am a long time (17 years) ThinkPad owner. It ahs been interesting learning about Lenovo desktops.
The info you provided has been very useful and I located the PSREF file for the ThinkCentre.
Based upon more complete info, I will probably buy an E31 tower.
Thanks again.

That's no problem at all. Just glad I could help.
Sounds like a good system to get.
Glad I could help,
