M90p connected Lenovo LCD through display port

Hi everyone,

We are experiencing severe problems with the lenovo lcd-screens combined with various Lenovo desktop/tower pc’s. Whenever we connect the screen to the PC through displayport the following occurs :

When screens goes into hibernate it is often not  possible to regain access to it.  The screens stays blanc while the powerled is blinking orange.  Pressing the power button of the screen doesn’t solve this issue.

This means we need to shut down (forced) the PC in order to be able to get any view on the screen again.

This problem seems to be independent of OS (both XP and Win7 installed machines are suffering this problems) or model of screen (wich means that in our case ANY Lenovo LCD screen is affected by this phenomenon).

The troubled machines are all brandnew as are the displays. (all bought as kits). Fresh installed and completely up to date. It happens both with one display attached (displayport) or two (displayport and vga).

Maybe some of you have experienced the same or something similar to it.

Regards

Re: M90p connected Lenovo LCD through display port

Hi,

what do you mean by "not compatible" we are having the issue here on some M90p dual display (VGA + display port) and the second screen connected to the DP won't woke up.

why do they put a VGA connector if it's not compatible?

i read on some other post that putting the display port as the primary monitor can fix but didn't try it yet.

bye

Re: M90p connected Lenovo LCD through display port

1) try to update the bios.

2) you can try to switch the primary boot display between displayport and vga, to see whether you can get the machine to work consistently.
