I just received my new M90z. Everything but the touch screen works. I tried everything that I could think of. Flashed the bios, installed the latest Simpletap, downloaded and installed the latest "Lenovo touch driver & TouchControl Setup(version 2.00.012")
I also tried running the touch screen test included in the diagnostics toolbox. Nothing.
My touchscreen is senseless :-(
Any hint ? Will I have to return it ? Should I attempt to open it to see if they forgot to hook the touch screen connector ?
Thanks anyone.
My model is a M90Z , 0870-CTO

- UPDATE - Jan 10th -
Got it working ! One of the touch screen cable was not even close to being connected ! So, no RMA this time for Lenovo, but someone certainly should inform their QE that they had a "field fail" and I'd like to know what type of inspection that they perform at the end of their assembly line (% and AOQL plan)
I'll update tonight with the serial # and lot # to help them investigate.
Have a great day !

So here are the information about that system :
SN : XXXXXXXXXX
UUID (Universally Unique ID) : XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Manufactured for Lenovo : 2010-12-24 (for ? So Lenovo is not making all its computers ?)
Origin : MX (built in Mexico)
I'd like them to contact me so they could discuss what they found as root cause and corrective actions so that futur buyers don't received product with such obvious defects. I can provide pictures.
Moderator Note: Serial number/UUID removed to avoid misuse.
