I have no sound on my browsers only, media player good, steam gaming program good. I've looked in a lot of forums and tried everything suggested, I just came across something in an thread today, "the mixer in the task bar should have a seperate volume control for each open application capable of creating sound." Mine does not it has a speaker volume, a Windows volume and one for Steam, all are constantly there. I turned on the Media Player and the mixer gained a control for it, when I start IE 8 it does not gain a volume control. I have Vista Business running on a Lenovo with SoundMax integrated digital HD audio, and had 4 different browsers none of which had sound. Does this mean anything to anyone (other than "thats why there's no sound") could volume controls be added manually?
