Betreff: SEARCH A61E 6417-14G OLD BIOS

[ Edited ]

Hello everyone,

i am searching for a solution of the same problem:

Lenovo Thinkcentre a61e, 6417-12G, AMD SEMPRON LE-1150

Try to update my bios inside windows XP SP3 > After Restart > BIOS don't boot.

the CMOS/Recovery method (jumer 2-3) works normally in my opinion, but:

Power ON: Computer starts by itself
> no keystroke > wait some seconds
> 1 beep > screen changed from no video to white blank video (740x400)
> USB Floppy (or USB-Key) starts to read file (version : 2ZKT45A)
(must have the name BIOS2Z.bin, otherwise > error beeps)

> after reading the file > followed by 2 beeps and computer shuts down automatically.

> changed jumper position (1-2) > starts with pushing the power button.
> blank screen, no video,
> after ~5 seconds the fan stops, but computer is still on with no more activity :-(

My old BIOS was from 2007 - the last chance, i think, is try to recover with an older bios which i similar to the old one.

My Question: did anyone have any old bioses here ??
The file BIOS2Z.bin (1024KB) is enough for this procedure.

Would be sad for such a little computer to die before his time ;-)

Thanks a lot

sirtas
