D'oh, sorry for posting the S/N, I didn't realize it wasn't allowed =/
So my post was edited, but no answer whatsoever... any help? I really need the info... =/
Here's an edited pic, without the S/N (sorry again!): http://omploader.org/vMTRxaw/100_1411.jpg

Uhhh... nobody? I can't believe Lenovo has no specifications for this motherboard, that's just bad customer support in my humble opinion...
Come on, somebody has to have it, each day that passes is each day I am without my work computer, I really need it, I'm not kidding.
Anybody?

Hey vkyr
thanks for the reply!
Yes, I have been to that page before, but that only gives me the FRU. I even downloaded some manual with hundreds of motherboard and case informations (41x5730.PDF) but neither the site or the PDF I downloaded have information on the motherboard's pinout (front panel, audio, USB, etc).
Do you know of any document that has that information?
Thanks in advance =)

I'am sorry no, I don't know of any online doc which includes this information for that computer. At least the IBM workstations I've used in the past (mostly IBM IntelliStations) always also came along with a printed motherboard specification booklet, which described in detail all the slots, pins and jumpers, BIOS settings etc. of the mobos.
You maybe should ask your local Lenovo customer service or a Lenovo repair service for help her, I'am sure they can provide you with a copy the needed specific mobo informations!

The following describes the connector wires for the Lenovo 7396-46G. I have 2 and the motherboards gave out in less that 2 years. I replaced the motherboards with the Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L and rewired the Audio and Power/LED connectors as follows. The USB connectors didn't need rewiring but need to be installed carefully. Refer to motherboard socket diagram.
Audio
Thicker Black - Ground
Thinner Black - Presence
Blue - Line 1 sense return
Brown - Line 2 sense return
White - Sense send
Grey - Line 2 left
Green - Line 2 right
Yellow - Line 1 right
Red - Line 1 left
USB
Yellow - Right socket D+
Blue - Right socket D-
Brown - Right socket Vcc
Red - Left socket Vcc
White - Left socket D-
Green - Left socket D+
Black - Ground
This fits on a standard USB header with 2 of the ground wires not connected.
Card Reader
Standard USB colours. Fits on a stanard USB header as above
Power Switch/ LEDs
Black/White - Power switch
Green/White - Power LED +/-
Red/White - HDD LED +/-

Finding tech specs is easy with an FRU:
Search the FRU on Google. This board is out of either an A55 (8985) or an M55e (9637)
Use the ldwbook.pdf from the "Withdrawn Lenovo Product Books" PSRef series to check the tech specs out. (HERE)
Use one of the Type-Model numbers from the PDF to enter into the support site at Lenovo. Then select Product Information from the left hand menu. In the resulting list, select "Overview" for that type, and a grid comes up with all the tech specs. If the Specs aren't detailed enough, select "Detailed Specifications" at the end of the grid, and all the detail will be shown.
Go back to the list, and select Parts Information from the left hand menu. In the list will be a link for the Hardware Maintenance Manual for that model. It will give you parts listings for that model, as well as the FRUs of motherboards used in the system. Any one system can use a multitude of motherboards, all different, but with the same basic specs. The main differences between boards will usually be Broadcom vs Intel networking, Ac '97 vs HD Audio, Lenovos' POV technology and Intel's IAMT technology.
There is no "Technical Specification Manual" for the Motherboard itself. That is only a part of a whole. You have to research the system it came from.
