downloaded updates from Thinkvantage toolbox. required restart after completion, no monitor(yellowlight) keyboard, mouse, fan running. will not boot up??

Michael, to confirm Lead_org's suggestions... what updates were being installed? Perhaps a BIOS update was being attempted and somehow failed, leaving the system in this state?

See page 93 - it shows you where on your system board the jumper is - it is location 9 on the diagram on page 93. Try the instructions in the tip.
You might be able to just change the jumper location without making the diskette - try that first.
