I want to do some upgrading as it is getting quite slow and crashes during some of my son's games, so my plan is:
- Add some RAM, and
- Get a dedicated graphics card to replace the DVI-D Connection Adapter in the PCIe X16 slot.
Can anyone advise on a graphics card? It seems to be between ATI Radeon and Nvidia. There seems to be a good selection for under $50. Are there models I should avoid with this m/board?
Cheers, Peter

Hello psfran,
There are probably more cards that are compatible, but here is a good card that is compatible.
A good Nvidia GeForce card.
| Lenovo 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 310 Dual-VGA Analog, or Dual-DVI Digital Graphics Card |
There is a compatibility guide online which I will post a little later, I am unable to reach the site at the time being.
I hope this helps,
Alex

Here is the link to the Compatibility guide. It will be the first download on the list. Once it is open just follow your computer series M
and on the listing under the Thinkcentre M series you will see the M57p. You may have to look for the machine type number as well. 6073.
Your computer should be under the Vertical column AP.

Alex,
that's great, thanks. I hadn't found that spreadsheet. It appears that there is only one card shown to be compatible, so my choice is pretty simple.

Yeah, that spreadsheet comes in handy.
Glad I could help,
