Is there any WEI information available for your available models?  I'd like to compare the component and overall experience indices for Windows Vista to help choose a system and determine how they would handle Aero.

Models:

A57 9851-A7U

M58 8910-A9U

welcome to the forum!

both the intel 3100 or 4500 will run aero.   i have aero running on my X61s (intel X3100) and have never had any problems with it.

if your only requirement of the integrated intel GPU is aero support then either machine you're considering will work just fine.

Thanks for the help!  My main concern is the IG chip, and I understand that the 3100 is technically inferior to both the X3100 and the 4500.  However if both will run Aero fine (well?) then I can focus on the other factors.
