another m58 PSU question

Re: Upgrading PSU. I recently bought this box and was hoping to salvage some parts from my old computer (graphics and PSU) BUT it APPEARS the PSU is not a simple matter. The Antec fits fine and is pin for pin compatable (note this is the tower form factor)... I needed the 6 pin out for a graphics card..

I have browesed this board a bit for info re: this issue but most seem to say "as long as the pins fit it will work"..

Currently not my experience..

 

BTW: just put the PSU back in the old box.. works fine...

Could be because ATX v2.1+ power supplies wont work with some ATX v2.0 motherboards.
