check CPU temperature

Is it any free tool to check CPU temperature?

I have M57 (6072-A5G).

Thx, I'm getting the following and cannot understand why it shows CPU -61C.

The Intel CPU itself is Core 0 and 1.

Speedfan is also reporting the internal core temp from a Digital temp sensor embedded in the actual cpu die. These are proprietary to Lenovo, which is very much a closed system, and not well interpreted by 3rd party software.

There is a screen where you can send system information, or send an email to the developer if you want.

CPU die on your E6550 doesn't have any temperature sensor, so this is probably why you are getting this reading.

BTW knows anyone at what cpu temperature the system will shut down?

there is no temperature setting in the BIOS. Around 115 degrees is the Tjmax, the CPU will start to throttle at around 95 degrees according to many forums.
