m58p BIOS not saving settings

Hi,

I have a few m58p Desktops that I changed a few BIOS settinsg on, (disable AHCI etc.) then saved settings and applied our company Windows XP image. All working fine. These PCs were then powered off and boxed up for almost a month.

When the PCs where then unboxed and pluged back in and powered on a month later, the BIOS settings I had changed had been reset back to default??

The BIOS date and time are still fine though, so the CMOS battery seems to be ok?

Has anyone seen this before? Is there anything that can be done to prevent this?

Bump. We are having this issue too.  We set our drives to Compatibilty and after a while several of the desktops M58Ps have been resetting back to AHCI.

I recommend to replace the BIOS-battery and test it again.

Take care at removal, that you don't break the clip on top.
