How do you use the Surround View feature on the Thinkcentre A62?
The Thinkcentre A62 is available with the AMD/ATI Surroundview feature, which allows you to use the integrated onboard graphics video ports (DVI + VGA on the A62) and the PCI-e X16 ATI graphics card video output (depending on the model of the ATI graphics used you may have hdmi/dvi/vga output) to get 4 graphics output.
Before you can get the Surround view working, you would need the right graphics card. While, ATI recommends that the users use either ATI 3450 or the ATI 3470 graphics card to get the Surroundview mode working, the ATI 4670 have also been tested and working in the Surroundview mode supporting 4 external monitors.
Step 1. After you got the right graphics card, just install the graphics card into the machine, and then boot up the desktop.
Step 2. Press F1 repeatedly so you can boot into the BIOS menu. Or Press 'Enter' key and then F1 key.
Step 3. Once you are in the 'Main Menu' of the BIOS, press the right key on the keyboard and highlight the 'Devices' Tab, which will take you to the 'Devices' page.
Step 4. Select the 'Video Setup'
Step 5. Highlight 'Surround View' option and press 'Enter' key on the keyboard.
Step 6. Then press Enter, which allows you to 'Enable or Disable' the Surround View Option, make sure you highlight Enable and press enter.
Step 7. Press F10 and save then exit.
Step 8. Let the desktop start and the automatic configuration will take care the rest for installing the rest of the drivers.
Step 9. Enter the Windows Display Property, which should detect 4 displays, make sure you enable all the highlighted monitors by selecting 'Extend my Windows Desktop Onto This Monitor option' for all the highlighted monitors.
