S50 8184 Hard drive

Hi, I am trying to install a 250 Gbyte WD IDE hard drive into my S50 but it wont recognise anything above 130gig can you tell me where I'm going wrong.

Hi, did u format the drive before you intalled if not ,there might be some other things(partions) on it,  im working with 931 gigs but its a SATA

Thanks mate, I think I soved it, I formated the drive and installed XP on it with another computer then put the drive back into the thinkcenter and just did a repair, all works fine now.
