Cleo,
Good day to you, also.
The reason I want the 2509 driver is because I'm hoping that it will fix my problem with my HDMI connection. See my posts at:
http://forum.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-Y-U-B-V-and-Z-s
There are a number of fixes that I'm interested in. Along with the HDMI issue, I use Firefox.
According to the release notes at:
http://downloadmirror.intel.com/20391/eng/relnotes
Fixed Issues
Operating System
Graphics
Resolved intermittent crashing when an HDMI monitor is connected
Windows 7
Intel HD Graphics 2000 & Intel HD Graphics 3000
WebGL rendering anomaly in Google Chrome* and Mozilla Firefox* browsers resolved.
Windows 7
Intel HD Graphics 2000 & Intel HD Graphics 3000
Now I don't actually know if it will help me fix the HDMI problem, but I just think ALL of the Intel drivers on the Lenovo site, should be as up-to-date as reasonably possible. Especially when they are offered on the Windows Automatic Update site. If it's important to Bill Gates, there must be some reason why it's important to me!
Thank you for your kind attention to this matter,
DragonRider

Cleo,
Thank you so much for the Thanksgiving's Day surprise on the Y470 update page. There are a lot of new drivers for me to download, and test.

I will post something on the Y470 thread shortly. With so many new drivers, and a new Bios, I want to make sure I do it correctly.
Thanks again for your help!

Cleo,
It looks like I was premature in giving you kudos. I was happy that the Y470 update page, has a new Intel Onboard Graphics Driver, 8.15.10.2462. I downloaded IN2VDO75WW6.exe, and upon installing the new driver, I came across the following screens:
The first installation screen says the driver revision is 15.22.8.64.2462. Ok, the last number is 2462, so that’s good.
The next screen, after the set up process completed, shows the Intel HD Graphics Family version that was ACTULLY installed was 8.15.10.2342!
After finishing the installation, the Program Compatibility Assistant tells me that the program “might not have installed correctly”
I “Reinstalled using recommended settings” (Whatever that means), and the same loop appears.
So, in the end, download IN2VDO75WW6.exe, DOES NOT CONTAIN, Intel HD Graphics Driver 8.15.10.2462.
Now, if I’m doing something wrong in the installation process, please let me know what error I have been making. Unfortunately, I think the error was made by your developer, and the team that posted the update mis-information on the Y470 page.

Cleo,
I got tired of waiting for Lenovo to fix this problem, so I went to the Intel site, and downloaded/installed the latest 8.15.10.2559 graphics driver. This 2559 driver still breaks the Fn + ↑Up/Down↓ on screen display for the brightness level, but that’s the only thing I’ve noticed that it breaks. All of the other “Touch Buttons” on screen displays work. (Mute/Volume/OneKey Theater/Thermal Management) I can live with that. Anyways, if I want to adjust the brightness, I can still use the Fn +↑Up/Down↓, or adjust it via the control panel.
At least I tried to get your "Company" to recognize, and fix this outrageous lack of web support. It's better than not giving Lenovo the oppurtunity to "Do The Right Thing"

Hi dragnoak,
Hey i'm sorry for late response. I did convey your feedback to the backend but it turned out not as expected. Let me communicate with the web support team again to check on this discrepancy.
For your information, you may leave your comments about the driver download in the download page itself as showed below:
Sorry for inconvenience caused.
Regards,
Cleo

Cleo,
You're right. I should have posted my observations directly on the download page, to get a quicker response. My apologies to you.
All of the other new drivers downloaded, and installed correctly. I'm only having a problem with my TouchPad Scrybe working with the new Synaptics 15.3.31.1 driver. I contacted Synaptics, and awaiting their response.
Thanks for all of your help.

Cleo,
I have another question. I hope you will be able to explain this anomaly to me.
I upgraded my BIOS to the 47CN28WW(V2.06) that was on the Y470 Driver & Downloads page. The release date was 2011-11-23. I follow other Lenovo forum threads on your site. Recently, I came across a post from some other Y470 user, where he posted his system summary showing he has a BIOS of 47CN31WW(V2.09) with a release date of 10/28/2011, loaded on his new 0855 Y470 laptop.
So my question is, why is the download page only giving the V2.06 BIOS, when the new 0855 Y470's are being shipped with a V2.09 BIOS? The V2.09 BIOS has an earlier date of 10/28/2011 than my V2.06 BIOS, which was released on 11/23/2011.
This doesn't make sense to me.![]()
Any clue?

Cleo,
I see that you're back from vacation. I hope you had a relaxing time off. Now it's back to business.
When is Lenovo going to release the new BIOS of 47CN31WW(V2.09), on the Y470 update page?
See, only one question. You only have to provide one answer.![]()
