Hello everyone!
I have some questions regarding my Lenovo G570 laptop, however I cannot see a section for the G series of IdeaPad laptops. I am beginning to think the name has been changed! Can someone please direct me to the suitable location where I can post my questions about the Lenovo G series IdeaPad ![]()
Thankyou
Apologies if I have overlooked it.

Hi and welcome to the forum!
In some markets it might be considered an IdeaPad but in most places (including the US) it belongs to Valueline/Essential series:- http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-3000-and-Value-
Hope this helps.

Thankyou for the welcome! I am a brand new Lenovo product user and am thus far very impressed with my laptop. Initially the first one I purchased was D.O.A with a damaged screen (motherboard voltage issue when running in full performance mode cause mass artifacts across the LCD) but still being under warranty it was replaced very promptly! Anyway, back on topic:
Ahh! This explains why I have so much trouble finding the right firmware and updates for this laptop then!
Here in New Zealand it was marketed as an IdeaPad G570, you are indeed right!
Thankyou for clearing that up for me! much appreciated =]
One last thing before I choose your post as the solution, what would be the other name for this laptop then?
A Lenovo Essential G570?
