SUBJECT: Complaint on my Lenovo G550
I am Dyuthi and I have purchased a Lenovo G550

But unfortunately, since the day I got the laptop, I have been facing problems.
Initially it used to get crashed frequently.
Then in March 2011, I faced a problem. The screen started blinking and got switched off.
When I had given it for service, they had said that the motherboard has to be replaced.
During my usage my system was in good use. But when I sent it to the service
Center, they had said my hard disk was not being able to be detected.

Before I could take a breather, when the laptop returned to me, in a few days, (about 10 or so),
the laptop had a small black spot. I thought due to my frequent travel, the dot had developed.
But later I had not moved my laptop out of my room for about 2 months, yet, I saw the dots becoming big.
Ultimately, when I saw it occupying 2-3 places on the screen,
I had complained and then they had told me that I had to replace the screen

Total cost : Rs 9500 ( 9000 + 500 service charge)
But unfortunately I have to doubt the INTEGRITY of the service center and/or QUALITY of the product. In about 15 days time, when I was using the laptop on my table for continuously for about 3 hours and restarted the laptop I saw a black line which made my screen look partially white and blue.
The Bill says the product has 90 days warranty. The people at the service center repeatedly argue that it is a physical damage. I have a few things to say with regard to this,
My ultimate grievances that
In view of the frequent problems and inconvienence caused due to a laptop which doesn’t function inspite of spending 23500 for repairs, I request you to kindly address the issue and arrange replacement of the laptop and reinforce the standards of product and service that your firm is known for.
In the event of no response from you, I will be constrained to initiate appropriate action to claim replacement of the machine as well as compensation for the time and money lost due to the downtime of the computer and the resultant mental trauma that I had to undergo.
