Well, I'm trying to be the owner of my first Lenovo computer. Actually it's for my son. Problem is that I've been told (by one of the many people I've talked to at Lenovo....from USA, Canada, Brazil and China.........) that the order is absolutely ready to go, but they don't have a 9 cell battery and that must be in the order to complete it. Gee, why wasn't I told that last week when I was told it would most like ship out by end of week 8-16-08. I've been told there's nothing we can do but wait. Lenovo customer representative have no time line on the receipt of the 9 cell battery and they have indicated that it would be next to impossible to ship the order with a 6 cell battery.
Perhaps I should have gone through a university website to order.......?? or maybe I should have stuck with the old Dell systems that we've used in the past.
Anyone else have similar situation or have a specific contact name that you might have dealt with. I've been told there are cusotmer advocates and managers, but their phone numbers cannot be given to customers. I guess, who are we to expect to speak to someone who might be able to help? Guess that's my frustration talking !!

Txmack,
When did you place your order? If you'll send me a PM with your order number, I'll see what can be done...

I looked at the audit logs, and they show that you marked it solved. It was probably just a stray mouse click that caused it since Lithium's forum software doesn't ask for confirmation before flagging it.
I've unmarked it. If it happens again, since you are the originator of the thread, you have control of it and can unmark it yourself using a function found in the Options dropdown menu in the upper right corner of the flagged message.
