I am very curious about why my laptop needs to visit so many countries before it gets here. I understand it needs parts that may be in certain countries but since I only wanted upgraded ram I don't understand. It has been in China, Korea, UK (where I live), Kazakhstan, Poland and now Germany. Why all these places? Not really a complaint, I'm just very curious.

Nope, this is more to do with the fact that the cargo plane on which these laptops are held fly to these destinations.

Direct cargo flight to a country is very expensive.

The system is built to your specs before it ever leaves China. The shipping carrier they used is the reason it has been to so many places. If you wanted it faster you should have paid for upgraded shipping.
