K1 Bluetooth paired but not connected

[ Edited ]

I have a problem trying to connect my K1 via Bluetooth (BT) to an AT&T EP5632 (it's the base unit for a BT enabled cordless phone / answering machine system). Both devices indicate that they pair ok, but on the K1 it always says "Paired but not connected". On the EP5632, after pairing successfully, it says it is unable to connect and is forever searching for the device. I should also mention that the EP5632 is designed to connect to either BT headsets or BT cell phones, and if I try it the other way, by putting the K1 in discoverable mode and trying to connect it as a headset, the EP5632 does not find it at all.

Does anyone have any ideas how to get the K1 to act like a cell phone (or a headset) over Bluetooth?

As far as I know your only able to connect headsets, keyboards and mouse to the K1.

If your trying to make your K1 as a cordless phone that's not possible yet.

You can also connect a K1 to a PC for data transfer.

The OP said they were trying to connect the K1 as a headset. I guess the idea is to use the K1's microphone and speaker to take calls. An interesting idea, but I don't think it would work because the K1 would identify itself over BT as an audio source to which one attaches a headset, not as a headset.

Although I supposes someone may have written an app for this...

Exactly so.  Android natively supports certain Bluetooth "profiles" (interoperability standards), but primarily from the perspective of the Android device being the "host" (or in the case of file transfer to a PC, an object exchange "peer").  I don't believe Android supports the profiles for it to act as a slave device, such as a headset, speakers, or input device.  I'm not even sure if such profile support could be added by an app  (i.e., at the application level).

:smileysad: I cannot get it to simply work at all. It also shows paired, but no action seen from wireless bluetooth keyboard. However I do

believe its the upgrade from CM 10.1.3 Jellybean not successful. Any input for a fix would help?
