I have looked into your issue and found bad that you are unable to use this such a nice feature with your desktop.
Kindly uninstall the Tyco Touch driver then restart the system, after this install the keyboard driver and then Tyco Touch driver version 1.2.0.0
Please download the Keyboard driver from the mentioned below web link.

I have A700 and the touch screen works except for the enlarging and shrinking gestures. I followed the directions given by Tanuj. The enlarge and shrink functions do not work. What else can I do?

The available driver at Lenovo's support(?) site for the IdeaCentre A700 is severely outdated. I succesfully installed an up to date driver from ELO Touch Solutions, available here:
http://www.elotouch.com/Support/Downloads/dnldlice
It can be easily found at ELO support site:
http://www.elotouch.com/Support/Downloads/dnld.asp
It's labeled as 'ELO TouchSystems Multi-Touch driver v3.0.2' and was published April 2012.
Seriously; support from Lenovo for the A700 has been awful. Things could have gone so much smoother for this machine with just a little effort from them, but it didn't happen.
