At last I got my B500 fixed after some running around, but now I have a new problem which was not there earlier.
Apparently they did not do any thing other than to replace the mother board and ship it back to me. In this process then have not yet updated the Machine Serial No on BIOS as well as Vendor and correct UUID. Now each time the system boots it stops stating invalid Settings / Serial No / UUID and waits to press F1 or F2.
So its a clear case the the engineer has done a half job. Can any one tell me how to update the values my self as calling support back yielded no result ( in fact even support have no idea how to do it).
Another thing now is the system gets heated too fast and fans start running at full speed with in 10 or 15 min after staring. Earlier I have played games like NFS / GTA for over 4 hrs and never heard the fan run at full speed.
Its become annoying experience with B500 from a great experience.
Thanks

Hello, does anyone have some utility to enter the serial number, etc, into the BIOS? Because after updating the BIOS, my B500 displays an error saying that the serial number and so on are INVALID.
Thank you,

Hi yozas,
the utility to enter the serial number and so on in BIOS is only available to Lenovo service partners so you'll need to contact a service partner in your area.

Hi, your post is two years old, I know. But I'm wondering if i your problem was ever resolved. A few days ago, I ran unto a problem with the same bios update (I wished i had seen you're post earlier.) using the the in-system method (not the iso file) . And though I my system still works, it wiped out my BIOS system info. (More about this in my post "Where can I find the BIOS Update ISO File?")
So, it by any chance you read this, I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me how it got fixed (and where you found the iso file.)
Thanks
