I recently purchased an A720 25645CU with the intentions of installing my own mSATA SSD (in this case the Crucial CRT CT128M4SSD3 128GB Crucial m4 Internal mSAT). I installed the drive and it is recognized by both BIOS:
And the Intel Storage System:
But not by Windows 7 Home:
Any ideas as to why or how to fix? I'd eventually like to make this my boot drive and move Windows over.
Thanks!

Does the mSATA drive shows in disk management? If it does, you might have to initialize/format the disk.

Worked like a charm! Thanks!

How did you install it? I see no place on the MB or a slot to pull on the monitor to install it. I've asked a question on StackExchange here

Install it into the slot circled above. The tricky part is finding the screws, I belive they're M2 x 3mm. Then follow the advice from above to make sure that Windows recognizes the disk.

I obtained mine by dismantling an old floppy disk drive. It's a shame they don't include the screws.

I recently installed a SSD onto my A720.
If you need screws, just use one of the screws that keeps the optical drive in place.
One screw is quite enough to put the SSD in place.
