Need help with an A700: Monitor controls very messed up.

[ Edited ]

Alright, so i've had my A700 for a few months now and it's worked out for my pretty well overall. Until today. I have no idea what I did, but all of a sudden, I can't adjust anything using the moniter touch buttons (Brightness, Volume, Display Mode, Input Selector). None of them seem to do anything, EXCEPT for make one of two semi-transparent blue messages appear. One of which, the more popular of the two, reads "Burn In Mode". The other says "Reset to Factory Default". Now, honestly, I love this computer. But now, I can't do ANYTHING on it, due to the fact that has also found a new hobby of flashing to black, repeatedly, before displaying the screen. So, if anyone could help me out with this, I'd be very greatful. I myself am about ready to sell the **bleep** thing, or throw it out a window out of frusteration.

Use "Reset to factory defaults" option and looks what happens.

Thanks for the answer, I used the one key recovery option, and still the same problem. By the way, this happen even in the BIOS setup. So I think there is not problem in Windows

I mean the monitor option as previous user said. This issue isn't related to computer software.

I have encountered the similar fault on my PC also.

I discovered that the lower right frame is too close to the LCD panel, esp near the "lamp"  touch button @ the extreme left side.

I then slot in some name cards and conducted a restart to the machine.

It seems to resolve this issue for the time being.

I will continue to monitor if this would really help.

The monitor's burn-in mode has become activated. You must enter the service menu to turn off burn-in mode.

I don't know how to enter service menu on A700.

Try this:

While holding down the menu and plus buttons, press the power button to turn off the screen.

When the screen comes back on, press the minus button to enter the service menu.

Turn off burn-in mode here.

What do you mean "While holding down the menu and plus buttons, press the power button to turn off the screen."

I don't have those buttons on my keyboard or monitor.
