Somewhere on the computer is the Microsoft COA.
(Certificate of Authenticity).
The activation code or Product Key is on that.
It is a series of 25 letters and numbers, split into groups of 5.
When you enter them, Windows automatically capitalizes and adds dashes.
If activation fails, follow instructions to activate by phone.

I've tried twice now to get the Windows 7 install disks from Lenovo. Both times their support people were supposed to call me back and never did. Now that I know to download Windows 7 and use the activation key as you described, my problem is solved. Thanks.

Same situation here, almost. I don't have the Windows 7 download yet. Where did you find yours?

magic jelly bean will tell you your cd key if the sticker has become worn (only had the b520 a couple of month and the sticker is already fading)
