q180 Blu ray drive used on another computer?

Has anyone tried to use the q180's blu ray drive on another computer? If so, did it work?

The blu ray drive is not for Q180 model specifically.

If it meets the system requirement on another system then you can definitely use it.

Hello All,

I'm new to this forum, in asking about the blu-ray being used on another computer, can it also be purchased separately? Can I buy on the Lenovo site?

Also, I saw where the unit can be separated and place lying down next to each other. But When they are together they communicate with some type of usb plastic jumper clip for the lack of a better term. What did they use in the video to make both still run as one unit?
