2560x1440 External Monitor

I am considering buying a 27" external monitor like the ASUS PB278Q with 2560x1440 resulution.

I read on some forums that many laptops have a tough time outputing resolutions higher than 1920x1080 through the HDMI interface. Does anyone know if the Intel HD 4000 chipset in the Yoga can be configured to output at this resolution when connected to a high resolution external display?

you may able to do so, if you reduce the refresh rate to 30 hz and below. But this will reduce your image quality.
