I'd seen that one but wanted one with a hand strap.

Re: A1 - Are there any decent carrying cases

Anyone try this yet?

http://www.amazon.com/HDE-Tablet-Stand-USB-Keyboard/dp/B004OB0EBQ/ref=pd_luc_sim_02_04_t_lh

I had that one for a previous tablet. The keyboard worked as did the case, but this design turns the tablet into a mini-laptop. It is not useful as a folio for reading purposes. Additionally the keyboard uses a USB cable to connect. I don't know if the A1 supports a USB keyboard.

I would suggest that you stick with ones that list the Lenovo A1 or the LePad (As it is marketed in China).

I think the keyboards add weight you don't need and are of 'variable' quality. Plus you'll need a USB to micro USB adaptor to make it work.

Re: A1 - Are there any decent carrying cases

Thanks to TB and his suggestion to search for Lepad, I was able to find a silcon gel case on eBay that I plan on ordering and testing.

The Lenovo reference to the magnetism is likely to do with the GPS and positional sensors in the A1.  Many of the GPS-related apps in the Android Market have the same caution when you install them.

Galaxy Tab Case Works Fine

I'm using a Galaxy Tab case I bought on Amazon for about $7.00.  It's lightly padded and the the A1 slides in.  There's a tab on the back that pulls the A1 up a couple of inches and makes it easy to remove.  Seems solidly built and able to take a light drop.  The lining also does a half-way job of cleaning smudges off the screen.

Just received the PA100 cover for the A1. No, it's not a case, but it fits the tablet beautifully, and protects everything that a screen protector doesn't. $14.99 from Lenovo with free shipping.
