A1 Issue - 3 Bottom Touch Icons Stopped Working

Has anyone else had this issue?  The 3 touch icons on my A1 never really worked great from the beginning but after several months they stopped working altogether.  I returned it once to Lenovo for repair, they replaced my LCD screen, got it back, and right out of the box, they worked intermittently and now after tow days, the icons stopped working again.  Lenovo wants me to return it again which I'll do, but this is getting very frustrating.

They work well for a few minutes after standby and then stop working ...
