I have downloaded it and installed, but I have nobody to call right now. So I have to wait to try it.

Just downloaded version 2.6.0.75 of Skype. Just saw it posted.
Called my wife on her tablet, sitting close to me. Voice works OK, still no video from either camera. So, that did not fix it.

There are NEWS about this issue!
You have to clean your cache/app data once you have installed Skype 2.6.x and video chatting / file sending will work afterwards! Skype itself runs a bit buggy but after 1-2 test calls it finally started to work.
The only problem which remains is the following:
The video is upside down (Vertical flipped), the video from the PC is not bugged. So Skype video calls work finally, but the other person will see you upside down ![]()
Is there any solution how to fix this issue? Is it so difficult for the Skype developers to add a option to "flip" the video as a kind of "mirror" function <.<? (The rear camera seems to work by the way, so the bug appear only with the important front camera)

Interesting!
There was a post about holding the A1 in portrait mode using Google Talk to get the camera to work correctly. Have you tried that with the A1?

Per Dan on the Skype Forum:
Hi folks
We're aware of the problems on the A1, and that this is a popular device amongst our users, so are working to rectify. Please bear with us.
Cheers
Dan
