Bad News - K1 Dead - Good News - Customer Service was good

So my K1 just plum refused to power up.  Used it in the morning...only different thing is I changed the brightness to full (not automatic)...powered off when I was done...later that day..would not boot...nothing on screen..when plugging in the recharger nothing...no % charging.

 

Personally I think that the power on button is gone.  I find that button kind of flimsy. 

 

But the good news is I called Lenovo and they tried to walk me through a few things (including asking me if I removed the back cover to remove the battery...I was shocked..I thought that would void my warrenty....but when I asked them to walk me through it...they changed their mind)....decided to have me send it in so its on its way to Texas int he morning.  Quite a painless experience.

 

PS...I saw the post about how to open the back..but I was afraid I would break something.

 

I guess I'm out the expensive screen protector I put on as I'm pretty sure I will get a replacement...

The same thing happen to me last week, it was working in the morning and in evening it would not turn on . I sent back to lenovo under waranty and came back today. lenovo said they replaced the motherboard.
