This official-looking Lenovo April 12th webpage (http://www.lenovo.com/news/mp/en/2012/03/thinkPad-K1TabletUpgrade.html) predates your posts saying that the date for upgrade is uncertain, that it will be a downloadable upgrade (not OTA), and that it will contain no Lenovo enhancements to'plain-jane' ICS.  So, who's right?

Seconded, Lenovo should give that guy a small staff and let go of their current CSR contracts.  

Multiple calls/texts/emails to Lenovo CS about the K1 host cable not shipping after a month: no one knows anything, something must be wrong with the order, the item is discontinued, etc.

One message to Mark: my cable was shipped out that week.

I have a Lenovo K1 I bought in London, Ontario, Canada in December. I love the thing. I'm looking forward to the ICS update....or I'm going to buy a Google Nexus tablet when they come out. The original announcements indicated the update would be in April. June will do, as June starts in just 2 days at time of writing. My money, in future, is going to the vendors with the best software upgrade support. So far, Lenovo has been pretty good. I hope it stays that way. :-)

I know some of our marketing sites said May - that was in error and based on some earlier information.

Please see my earlier comments regarding plans for K1.  We are planning to release a plain, non-customized version of ICS / Android 4.0 in Mid June.  (July June 15th is the working date, but could be a few days later to get it on the web)

EDIT (I mis-typed.  meant to say June 15th - my fingers weren't cooperating!)

It will be made available for download and not pushed via over the air update.

I don't have the final word, but the initial release may be wifi only, with support for 3G coming a bit later - I would guess a couple weeks later.   Again, I don't have the final word on that - we had discussion on this earlier and I shared the feedback with the development team.

I hope to have further updates soon
