Hey Mark! Thanks a lot for bringing us some great news. I won't lie, as patient as I wanna be, I'm still a little childish about my toys and it's nice to get some positive reinforcement. A week is fine, since they've managed to get 3G working also.

So does that mean...if they got something done ahead of schedule...and they're behind schedule for ICS...do they cancel each other out and result in their releasing it on time? What other goodies could await us before the final release...or possibly horrors. It's a cruel world.

No, they just meet in the middle. ICS Due last week (10 days), 3g due next month. Both come out in the middle of both dues dates!

And a THANK YOU MARK! for the update.

I'd rather install this once and I'm glad that Lenovo is proving to do thorough testing prior to releasing OS Update. Nice Job. Yeah, I would like to have an official ICS on my TAB, but I do have other things in life to do that play with my TAB.

Honestly, 3 weeks and possibly more is pretty sad. Lenovo is losing consumer confidence each day/week the upgrade is delayed. If someone can't provide a SPECIFIC release date, then why give any estimate at all? It only makes people look unprofessional/incompetent/dishonest...maybe all of the above. Lenovo doesn't deserve unwavering trust and gratitute for doing the job they are being paid to do. From other major tech companies like playstation, to microsoft, to apple, and even smalled ones like ubuntu, they stick to announced update/upgrade dates.

Dude, you obviously don't work in software dev. They're working on it and trying to ensure a quality release. Your life is not dependant on this. It's ok...a few weeks of waiting isn't going to hurt anyone. It's going to be released before you know it.

Cheers to Mark as well, for championing this on our behalf at Lenovo.

And for those who chose this forum to bitch and moan- whining about how the software update is a few weeks late isn't going to make it get here any faster. Lenovo did the right thing by agreeing to releaae an ICS update. And yes, the process has been frustrating at times. But most other OEMs haven't upgraded to ICS yet. Lenovo will be near the front of the pack. Have some persepcetive. Yes, they agreed to offer an ICS upgrade...and it's on the way. They've met expectations so far. It could be worse.
