The good thing for us, it has not been removed (yet) in some languages:

Here's what t is written right now on the website: Sistema OperativoAndroid ™ 3.1 instalado; Android ™ 4.0 disponible a partir de Mayo 2012.

Translation: Android ™ OS 3.1 installed, Android ™ 4.0 available from May 2012.

I have a hunch since its in spanish or portugese, lenovo will say it only applies to spanish/portugese speaking k1 owners. Lol

Lenovo employee X thinks, "Hey, we're planning to release Android 4.0 for our tablets soon, what a great selling point!", and adds it to the website.

Lenovo employee Y says "Hold on there, X!  Let's play safe and not advertise it until it's a fact", and then takes it down.

That's how this doesn't qualify as being malicious.

Well there is the concept of due diligence. Dont make claims you have no intention of fulfilling in good faith.

In fact it has bad faith written all over. You dont take it down or removing the website where they said ics will be released q2, but rather you give them a explaination and offer remedy. Thats actin in good faith.

Removiing traces of your announcement instead of explaination and remedy is malicous.

The mere fact all is clueless and frustrated of what is happening is proof that they are malicious and acting in bad faith

I'll tell you what. this was my first Lenovo purchase and will likely be my last, as well as my extended family, unless they stand by thier product. It's not like this is a 2 year old tablet that they are not updating, I just bought it retail a month ago. So disappointed in the deception.
