IdeaPad A1 will not move apps to SD

Hi! Is any solution for this problem? I will waiting for an answer. Is there anybody who know how to repair this problem (perhaps some android apps it can fix?)

Apps can be moved to the internal sd card, however you must root your device to move apps to the external sd card. No app available to move to external SD unless rooted.

I just bought an A1 for a relative for light use, so I'm loading some games and other fun things on it and encountered this very problem.

I have 12GB of available internal SD storage that I cannot save anything to. When I click the "On SD Card" view under Manage Apps, I see that only 11MB of 12GB have been used, and I've clearly loaded more than 11MB worth of apps on there. They're all saving to the small 1.5 gigs of Internal Storage.

When I click an app and try to move it to the very empty SD card, I get the "Failed to move application. There is not enough storage left." message.

If anyone can explain what is wrong and what I need to do, please tell me like I'm a 5-year-old and leave nothing unsaid.

It appears that the only way to move apps to the internal SD card is to have an external SD card installed. Not sure but going to take a wild stab. Android recognizes an SD card or USB storage. Version 2.3.4 (current A1 build) is a phone operating system. Android phones don't call their internal memory SD card. OS sees reference to SD card, and looks for the external card. If it exists, it actually uses the internal SD card. The external card is referenced as removable_sdcard. I think the problem lies with having two SD cards. It requires the presence of the second, but only uses the first (called SDCARD).

This is just a wild guess, but it sounds like a logical explanation for the need for an external card. Someone tell me if I am way off base.

Forgot to mention, but this is exactly what my A1 does with the external SD card removed (including the generic icons.) I do use the external card for data, pdfs, etc. but unless you root, you can't move apps to the SD card.

The app2sd app did now work. Still says there's not enough storage left.

Hey! I have sloved this problem in the following way

1. First install the App2SD app from google play which is free

2. restart your tablet

3. now you can move your app to SD card from settings> aplications> manage aplications> select an app> tap move to SD card and its done

it works for me really
