K1 Factory Reset/Recovery

Are there any information and instructions on reseting the K1 tablet back to factory shipped reset state? I would like to know in case some virus or problematic apps get installed or some bad update.

I got the tablet with android 3.1 and have since updated to 3.2.1.

does "Settings...Privacy....Factory data reset" actually delete everything and reset the tablet back to Android 3.1? Does it remove all settings and account profiles?

I updated to 3.2.1 and it did not return to 3.2. it didn't delete my google acct. Just everything I downloaded or installed

That is correct. It does not return the device to 3.1

I had all updates (3.2.1) when I factory restored and it came back the same (3.2.1).  The update system afterward said "up to date".  Also all my factory apps were restored (I accidentally deleted one).  I had to answer all the questions as if I took it out of the box.  Beware, it does not warn you 2x like most systems do for an operation this drastic.

There is a Thread on this forum about flashing stock back on. If you think something is wrong or a virus may be on there and a setting>privacy>reset doesn't fix it, then a flash would do it. If its not flashing then a call to support is needed.

Same for the locked out password, you can try the flashing stock process or call support.

So am I to understand that once a POP password has been applied that there is no way to get past the login screen on the Ideapad K1 (tablet) ?   Iam not getting to anything that lets me get to "settings"   "reset"
