1. Place the update.zip on your external sdcard
2. Reboot into recovery. 
3. Wipe data/Factory reset
4. Install .zip from sdcard
5. Choose the update.zip and say Yes
6. Flash gapps (optional)

To boot into APX mode:
1. Power off
2. Hold down the Vol - and the Vol +
3. While holding the Volume keys down, Power on
4. The display should go black, and both LED's on either side of the home button should light up. This is APX mode.

How to flash:
1. Extract the K1_CM9_nvflash.zip contents to a directory
2a. If using Windows, double click the "flash-windows.bat" file
2b. If using Linux, cd into the extracted directory and run either "sudo ./flash-linux.sh" or "./flash-linux.sh" from a root prompt

I have. This ROM has been out for some time now. The OP's post was somewhat misleading.

Note that this is an alpha rom and not everything is working.
I will say, though, that CM9 is monumentally faster than the current OTA and feels much, much nicer than stock.

Also, you wont brick your tab unless you do something stupid like unplug/power off your tablet halfway through flashing. Even then I doubt you would brick it.

If I nflash this, can anyone tell me how I could get back to the stock firmware if needed? Just incase lenovo actually makes Ics for it.

Khanning has provided a tool that does precisely that. Look at the topic titled Bootloader Fix 120109.

It will flash you back to totally stock.

thank you! One more thing, can you please tell me how I would install the drivers? I downloaded the drivers.zip and it just contains a bunch of random files.

Sure. Ill assume you are using windows.

Put yor tab in APX mode and connect it to your computer.

Open device manager and find your tablet. It may be listed under APX devices. I dont recall exactly.

Right click on it and click Update Driver Software. Click Browse my computer for Driver and then browse to the folder you extracted Drivers.zip to.

It should list the APX driver, select that one and proceed with the install.

Reboot your tab and put it back to APX, and that should be it.
