Im getting a very weak wi-fi signal on my K1 tablet while its excellent on my notebook.
I've seen other owners with the same problem
. Anyone have any idea how to solve. I am using a wireless router (D-LINK) with WEP security.

Are you comparing the number of bars or the actual speed ? If I look at the signal indicator on my laptop side by side, yes it tends to have one more bar than the tablet but it always follows in the footsteps, and web pages appear always faster on the tablet. So is it fair to compare signal indicators on two different devices? Are these gauges supposed to be standard?
Not trying to defend the K1's performance, but I'm reading a lot of posts that report differences between signal indicators as opposed to download speed. Note also that two devices can concur on the same network, one affecting the signal of the other.

Great app. I tried it on both laptop and tablet and get different result, letting assume that the laptop is much faster. I am however able to download web pages much faster on the tablet. Different apps, different system...
Can someone do a test with a comparable tablet side by side?

WEAK Wi-Fi on the K1.
Number of "bars" doesn't mean anything between different products, but the K1 fails to connect when the Wi-Fi signal strength is low, while other devices can.

By the way, if your router is a wireless-N router, configuring it for WEP security will force it to connect with Wireless-G protocol/speed. In order to run at speeds above 54Mbs, you must configure your Wireless-N router with WPA2/AES security (or no security at all), and use a Wireless-N device (like the K1). If it's a Wireless-G router, then it doesn't matter.
