Lenovo Ideapad K1 brightness is flickering [ Edited ]

Hi All,

My Lenovo Ideapad K1 brightness is flickering regardless of its battery level - sometimes very often (it does not matter if I am in well lit environment or in the dark). I also tried turning on and off the auto-brightness; nothing has changed. Any ideas or recommendations?

I did notice mine does it only on really bright or mostly white screens. Anyone else have this issue? Could be a screen issue.

On the ocassion that I use the K1 as an ereader, flicking is present unless i turn the brightness down significantly.  For that reason, I am back using my Kindle.

Am I correct assuming that many Ideapad K1 tablet users are experiencing the same issue? What's Lenovo's response to this? It is not a pleasant experience having a flickering screen brightness. Please share your replies and perhaps we can seek Lenovo support's help addressing the issue and its solution?

Just go to "Settings", "Screen", clkck on "Brightness" and uncheck the Automatic brightness box, then if need be move the slider to the far right. I have had mine that way for months, the battery still lasts most of the day and I have none of the problems everyone complains about....

Or you need to send it back for service... I know not fun!!!
