Hi All,
I am running Khanning's new rooted ICS ROM and I hadn't seen any comments on USB drive functionality with the K1 and ICS so I wanted to let anybody who was curious know that the USB connector to a Flash Drive seems to work for all drives 16 GB or less, I have not been successful in getting any of my larger flash drives to mount.
I guess I was one of the lucky ones in the states who was able to get a USB connector from Lenovo (I had to call, place a special order and then wait a month or two before I got it, though)

I flash the rooted Rom on the K1 and I love it , I also have the rooted ICS on the HP TouchPad. Now I love both.
Thanks a million to Khanning and Mark

I had the same issues trying to connect via ADB after installing the rooted ROM. My fix was using a virtual machine with a 32bit Linux Install with Android SDK (platform-tools).
I couldn't get anything other than "device not found" via Windows ADB.
Hope this helps a bit.

Just registered for this comment. Thank you Khanning for making this stuff work. I've been waiting silently for Lenovo to come through, and I'm thankful they finally did, but it wouldn't be much use without your additional work.
It was a struggle. I downloaded your rooted version, then proceeded to brrick my K1. I had to rename the source directory and place the .bat file in the files folder per other comments here. I was still stuck until I disabled Malware Bytes and Antivir antivirus. I have downloaded and installed google maps from the xda developers site. Everything I've tried so far works! I chose the wrong app backup program, so I'll be reloading many apps by hand. A word to the wise, read all these comments carefully. There's a wealth of knowledge here. Again, thanks.

Be sure to heed the devs warnings before you throw yourself at 4.0.3, it turns your K1 into a bonified web-browser/alarm clock. I am now re-flashing back to stock 3.2.1 until either a ROM package with 4.0.4 (Google Apps! included). Thanks for the effort on the vanila ICS but without true Google support it's meaningless.
Like 90% of you, I bought this tab expecting Lenovo to follow through on this link, they failed.

Lenovo is now pissing on us and telling us that it's rain.

I suspect that rather than change the build.prop, someone, probably Lenovo, needs to get the information updated with Google. Google Play must have a list of devices and capabilities and only allows installation for known tablets/phones.
