Rooting US K1 --- this method wipes tablet clean

I have root finally.
The benifit is you can remove the useless locked down Lenovo apps from you K1. There is much more you can do as well.

I can't go to 14 after rooting with with this method either.  Have you found a solution to go to 14 with our without root?

Am I correct in understanding that the way to root to 14_14 is to use the tool(s) in first post to root to 13_13,then use the backdoor to root to 14_14?

I have d/l the 14_14 OTA update from Lenovo, is there another way to root directly to 14_14?

New to the tablet scene, bit believe I understand the concept and benefits of rooting the K1 that I am battling since purchase.  Thanks
