USB Host Cable?

The components list that came with my K1 shows an optional USB Host Cable available. I would assume this is the cable that you would use to connect a USB device to the K1 Tablet (such as an external hard drive which seems to be an option since Settings has an option to Mount a USB Storage Device) Now I've looked all over Lenovos site & the internet & cannot find this anywhere. Any ideas? I know the ThinkPad tablet allows USB devices including keyboards & mice. Dont see why the K1 wouldnt if it just had a way to connect a USB device (hence the Host Cable)

Did you get a USB to PC cable when you bought your tablet? I know that I did. That's the only one I know about...

Im not talking about a USB cable to connect your tablet to your PC. Im talking about a USB Host Cable that will actually give you a regular female USB plug coming out of your tablet so you can plug an external USB device. Its shown on the list of contents on the quick start guide printed with the paperwork that came with the tablet.

The K1 should have been delivered with two USB cables, a data cable and the host cable you are talking about. At least I have found both types in my box.

My K1 came with 2 cords, 1 ac adapter and 1 USB cable. The USB cable allows you to see the K1 as a storage device. So I'm not fully understanding what your wanting to know.

I contacted Lenovo tech support and told them that a female usb cable was not included in the package. The cable missing would have the Lenovo K1 prop. Connector on one end and a female full size usb on the other. They are send me on at n/c. The cable would in theory allow the use of a mouse, keyboard, or exteral drive IF the OS had the relevent driver installed or downloadable. I'll post after I receive the cable and play with it.

That part is not free and does not come with the K1. So you just got lucky.

I would just like to know how to order it. I cant find it on the site anywhere or find it mentioned online anywhere. Does it have a part number? Guess I'll try calling lenovo & see about getting myself a free one shipped out too!
