Using 3g usb modem with IdeaPad K1

Is there a way to access the internet via 3g usb modem on IdeaPad K1?

Alternatively, if the laptop/PC  is already accessing the internet via 3g usb modem, is it possible to connect  IdeaPad K1 though USB<->proprietary cable to the laptop and enjoy 3G?

Easier approach rather than a cable is have you PC, if it's running Windows 7, share it's internet connection.  This will give you a SSID to connect to with your K1.
