802.11n not getting full bandwith speed

I have an Ideapad S10-3t with an "N"-type wireless network adapter. I am only getting 54Mps speed connection from it instead of 150-300 Mps. I have set the unit right next to my "N" router and still get only this "G"-type connection. Signal is good, but speed is sucky. Any ideas?

Are there other computers connected to this access point? Some implementations will limit the speed to "G" if computers running "G" are connected.

No. All my computers have 802.11n network cards. I tried connecting an external USB "N" adapter and got 270Mps speed, but I need the adapter for another PC. So, it must be a problem with Lenovo's network adapter. Anyone know how to configure the settings for higher speed?

in windows 7 you have to make sure your settings match those of your router

under wireless network connection, open up properties and the configure dialogue for your network card

within those settings make sure both bands, 2.4 and 5.2 are set to automatic, enable the N setting and the others are more trial and error depending upon the router

go to your router settings and ensure that the N setting is enabled and also is on automatic

some Intel cards especially can only get N speed when the mgh setting (20 or 40) coresponds with the router band (see Dlink forum)

Check your router, is it support 2.4GHz and 5GHz simoustanous. Some router will "down grade" to 54 if some none 802.11n is connected to the router.

I've tried all the suggestions--to no avail! Just to check: I'm using the Lenovo S10-3t tablet with 802.11n Broadcom wireless network card built in. Does anyone using this PC have the same problem I'm having or are you getting the full 802.11n bandwidth (150-300Mbps)?  Thanks for all the help!

I'm having the same problem with DLink DIR-655, when connected in N mode it only shows 11.0 mpbs...

Does anyone from Lenovo tech support monitor these boards? I sure would like to know what the various options for setting up my Lenovo/Broadcom net card mean. Maybe one of them is set wrong. I'm using a Linksys WRT150N router. All my other PCs connect at 802.11n high speeds.

This is really frustrating me! I have the same problem with my Broadcom N Wireless card in my s10-3t...does anyone at lenovo check there products before they are released...or is it all just slapped together?
