Re: BIOS for S10 reached the 90th

Is there any way to reset this thing to the default BIOS? Similar to pulling a jumper on a motherboard?

I can't believe this. First my stupid system time kept resetting itself to the following day in the AM, and now this.

Will Lenovo not honor my warranty if I pull the HD and plug it into my PC to get the data off it before I send it back?

Lenovo would have no idea if you pull the harddrive, its very easy to remove. Should be no warranty issues.

After you flashed version 90 was it instantly dead or did it work briefly?

Its possible Lenovo has a flash recovery mode in bios possibly usable with a usb floppy.

I will wait to flash version 90 until someone confirms it works.

I need help... I just flashed my BIOS to 90 and following all instructions made by the Lenovo Official site. Yet, all I got is an empty black screen and three blue lights (the power indicators and the wireless indicator are on) once restarted. the readme said that it would restart on it's own and I waited all night until this morning but nothing happend, I haven't Pulled out the batteries and press the start button to reset the whole netbook for one reason. I tried to do that yesterday night but afraid that the process hasn't finished so I put the plug in again. left it for the night and slept. When I woke up nothing happend so I pulled the cord out again, it made a bios sound, not like last night. and the Netbook is warm. like it's somehow still working. Please someone, Solution needed...

So it Doesent work... now please please need help...

Yep - bricked here too.  I'm thrilled.

I've had this unit for 11 week, just flashed the bios, and I have a doorstop.

Same symptoms as the others here - any idea how to recover?

Thanks Lenovo....

Same issue over here.  My new S10 is now a blinking white brick.

Re: BIOS for S10 reached the 90th

Same happened to me, but it's working now for me after:

1. Holding down power button till turns off

2. Unplug from wall outlet

3. Remove battery for 2 minutes

4. Replacing battery

5. Turn on by hitting power button

6. Replacing wall power

Checked bios and it's version 90...good luck
