i mean fn+b combination is working for rescue.

my netbook completely takedown.there is only power led and cpu working.(no beep)

in rescue mod(fn+b) there is no usb activity or hdd.

problem caused by change my bios splash screen with ezh20_2.1.0.4(insyde bios utility)

From your description it doesn't seem so.

As I posted, the notebook beeped in my case.

Until I succeeded to guess the right filename for the image, it was apparently going through the folloing loop:

1. access all connected storage devices one after another: USB, SD, HDD
2. not finding the file it looked for, beep thrice
3. goto step 1.

That was an endless loop; I could freely experiment with the file name without reboots, just unplugging the flash drive, renaming the file with the help of another computer, and plugging it back again.

BTW the link you posted in your other thread on breaking out the WWAN card whitelist indicates exactly the same procedure for BIOS recovery, except the filename is different.  I'm not completely certain now, in 3 months since I did it, but I think I did try that name and it didn't work out.  You can give it a try.

However, the notebook was pretty certain to try the storage devices and to beep.

If yours is so badly broken, how does it behave when you just let it boot, without pressing Fn-B?  How is it different from when you try to enter the rescue mode?

Do you have a light on your flash drive?  Can you tell if it is

• powered up?
• being accessed?

i found it from web today ,has not tried yet.my netbook is in service now.

any other expert  users can try this method for 3g card brand limititions.

so we know it works or not?

and one question from me what was your problem with bios 3 monhts ago?

no light blink from usb.so i think it doesnt support usb or sd card(motherboard doesnt send power to usb stick)

I updated the BIOS of my S10-2, it is japanese and my Windows XP just STOPED. My Windows no more start!

Where I can download the image of BIOS?

To create my USB BIOS recovery, I only format with the name "KIUN0IA32.FD." and copy the archives on the root?

The image is more of one archive?

Can someone answer me???

Hi there sorry to bother you but do you know what i rename the bios file on a lenovo 3000 n200   type 0769-BWG, the bios rom is named  EL10305A.ROM

The fn+b works fine my usb stick blinks but then stops blinking and nothing else happens, it would be most appreciated if you could help me with this in any way.

hello every body.. my laptop lenovo s10-2 . i accidentally runs acer aspire bios on it . then its fan speed high and system hangs . after remove battery system off. then there is no power , no charging indication, no system on. i know its happen with wrong flash of bios on it . so if any one has soloution pls reply me thank u .

you will need a motherboard or find a shop to reflash the BIOs
